Tea Time

How  about sitting down to a nice cup of herbal tea?  Peppermint is a good choice for several reasons.  It is easily found in most markets and health food stores. Peppermint has a wonderful aroma that permeates through the air and through the body when you drink it. It  contains essential oils, menthol, tannic acid, tannins, and vitamin C. Just to smell peppermint makes me feel rejuvenated and calm. It  is a mild stimulant that is known for helping with digestion, nausea, vomiting, colic, and bowel problems.  Peppermint also has been used to help with chills, fever, headache, colds and flu.  Every house  should have this versatile herb  on hand to drink.  I use it in just about every cup of tea I prepare for myself or family when illness is flaring up.  It seems to help the flavor of the tea and adds its synergistic medicinal value as well, super combo.
